  • Communicating with people that have stopped tithing

One of our pastors would like to know how other churches are successfully tracking & communicating with people that were giving in some sort of pattern (once a month or once a week for example) over a date range & then stopped giving. He'd like to see examples of the communication that goes out to the people the report produces. ...

  • entering contributions through the portal

We're trying to get set up with entering contributions in F1, but we're running into a few roadblocks. Is it possible to use the Magtek check scanner with the portal, or does that only work with the standalone app?  I looked through all the documentation and the videos, but there's no info on using the scanner with the portal. Thanks!

  • Re: How to handle Charitable Gift Fund checks?

We also receive multiple members who donate through gift funds, foundations and stock donations.  We treat all of these gifts the same and process these as a non-cash gift.  We also send a letter acknowledging the gift.  By processing the gifts as a non-cash, allows the donor to know that we received the funds on their statement (no ...

  • Contributions for Individual on Behalf of Another Individual or Company

We have two members who are giving to a church campaign pledge through company paycheck withdrawals that also include a company match. The checks come in from the company in a single amount.  I'm struggling with how to record this in the contributions app. I'm assuming the employee amount should be allocated to the church member and the ...

  • G/L Post Date

Does anyone have a best practice for adding a G/L Post Date to contributions?  What is the implication of using an inaccurate date or not entering one?  Also, is there a way to batch enter them or must we go through each contribution and update manually?

  • Re: General Ledger

We use Blackbaud for general ledger and would like to have the ability to do more integration with it in F1, although I think that's doubtful.  Doing GL well is a massive project that I'm guessing FT would rather leave alone right now, although I'd be delighted to see them do it.

  • Remote Deposit Capture with ProfitStars

During the recent conference we had a chance to talk to ProfitStars. In talking with them, we understood that once there solution was completely in place, we would only need to be scanning checks once and the result would be a deposit in the bank and an contribution record in Fellowship One. In discusses with ...

Dale,       With the multitude of financial software packages we don't have a way of importing contributions as you mentioned in your post --  link contributions received in quickbooks to Fellowship One.  If they were first entered into QuickBooks they would have to then be entered into Fellowship One.  I'd ...

  • Mailing Contribution Statements, quarterly or end of year

Hi! we are new to F1 and with our previous software, we could export a file and have their company print, stuff and mail our statements. We do over 4000 every quarter. Our local companies told us they couldn't do that unless all the statements were only one page. Several of our statements are multi page. Does anyone have a suggestion of companies ...
